Dancing in Time

Yorkshire Dance

Dancing in Time is an evidence based creative contemporary dance intervention that engages older people in 12 weeks of dance with a fun, social ethos. Research into Dancing in Time by Leeds University showed positive outcomes in a group of 38 older women (mean age 77.3 years) in both mental and physical wellbeing. These included significant increases in moderate intensity physical activity and improved mobility and mood. Qualitative data indicated reported health and wellbeing gains and reduced social isolation.
